For the products that are GOTS certified, we offer organic production consisting exclusively of textiles that contain at least 70% organic fibers.

We are GOTS certified

When we choose GOTS-certified organic cotton, it's because conventional cotton production is associated with a number of challenges. Often, it's difficult to obtain information about where and how the cotton is grown and processed, as well as the social conditions under which it has occurred.

Conventional cotton is also the world’s most pesticide-treated crop, with significant consequences for local biodiversity and water ecosystems.

In contrast, GOTS-certified cotton is grown according to organic principles, with detailed requirements to minimize waste and emissions, control the use of chemicals and dyes, ensure textile durability, and maintain fair social production conditions throughout the entire value chain.

Why should you look for the GOTS certification?

The GOTS certification ensures both you and us that the cotton is grown organically and with strict social and environmental guidelines, from the cotton seed to the finished product hanging in your wardrobe.

Join the journey of cotton – From seed to GOTS-certified clothing.

1. Cultivation

Organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers. Instead, natural methods such as composting and crop diversity are used. Additionally, genetically modified organisms are not allowed in organic cotton production.

2. Harvest

Cotton is harvested either manually or with machines – but the manual method is often preferred to preserve the cotton fibers and their quality. And it is precisely here that the GOTS certification ensures that the work is carried out in a socially responsible manner.

3. Cleaning

Cotton can be cleaned in various ways that reduce the use of clean water – and in fact, the GOTS certification ensures that the production uses up to 90% less water compared to conventional cotton production, and that the cleaning process takes place in a closed system to prevent waste or discharge.

4. Processing

The cotton fibers are spun into yarn – and subsequently, the yarn can be woven or knitted into fabric as is, but it can also be dyed. This must, of course, also be done according to GOTS standards – considering both the environment and people.

5. Traceability

The GOTS certification requires full traceability throughout the entire production chain. This means that every phase of production must be documented and traceable back to the original field where the cotton comes from.

Although each step takes place in different locations, all suppliers and production stages are cross-checked to ensure that both social and environmental regulations are followed throughout the entire production chain.
